About The Village Pizza
Established 2024
Ron has always wanted to open a pizza restaurant. Years ago, he even purchased a building in Sawyer, Michigan with plans to make it happen. While that first opportunity did not work out, the vision never went away.
When the former Gina’s Pizza building became available, it felt like the right time to try again. Ron purchased the building and began transforming the space into something new.
The remodel focused on creating a more open and welcoming environment. Storage was expanded, a dining room was added, and new restrooms were built to make the space more comfortable for guests. Every decision was made with the customer experience in mind.
On July 25, 2024, The Village Pizza officially opened its doors.
A FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS
Built by Family, Run with Care
Not long after getting started, the business became a true family operation.
Melissa made the decision to leave her corporate career to take over running the restaurant full-time. That shift helped shape The Village Pizza into what it is today.
As a family-owned and operated business, there is a level of care that goes into everything. From how the food is prepared to how customers are greeted, every detail matters.
The goal is simple. Create a place where people feel comfortable, welcomed, and appreciated every time they walk through the door.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
What sets The Village Pizza apart is not just the food. It is the experience.
Customers are not treated like order numbers. The team takes the time to learn names, recognize familiar faces, and build real relationships.
That level of service creates an atmosphere that feels personal and welcoming. It is the kind of place where people can relax, enjoy a meal, and feel like they belong.
When you combine that with fresh, high-quality food, it creates something people want to come back to.
Fresh Food, Done Right
At The Village Pizza, quality starts with preparation.
Everything is made fresh daily. Vegetables and meats are sliced in-house, dough is made from scratch, and pizza sauce is prepared fresh to ensure consistency and flavor.
Nothing is rushed, and nothing is treated like an afterthought.
Each pizza is hand tossed and built with care, using ingredients that are prepared the same way every single day. It is a process the team takes pride in, because it shows in the final product.
OUR TEAM
Behind every great experience is a team that cares about what they do.
At The Village Pizza, that pride shows up every day. From the kitchen to the front counter, everyone is committed to doing things the right way.
That means preparing food with consistency, paying attention to the details, and making sure every customer has a positive experience.
It is that shared mindset that allows the team to serve food they can stand behind and create an environment they are proud to be part of.
